2015 CFFF Charity Golf Classic
Fire Services Credit Union would like to thank all of our sponsors especially our major sponsors the Drabble Private Client Group, CRI Canada, the Personal Insurance Company, the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters Association and Stedfast. Thanks to all the volunteers, participants and staff for another successful Charitable Golf Classic with proceeds going to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
We had over 35 individual hole sponsors including many of our partner Professional Fire Fighter Associations, the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs, Credit Union partners, other sister Credit Unions and a number of Fire equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
Markland Wood Golf Club and their staff were most accommodating hosts and we very much appreciate the understanding of their members as we commandeered their beautiful private golf club for the day.
The weather forecast was gloomy, but I would like to think we had the spirit of the all too many Fire Fighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice looking down on us as we endeavoured to raise money for their families through the CFFF. The day turned out to be mostly sunny and hot!
The winning team for the third year running was the Stedfast Group made up of Jack Kay, Toronto Fire Chief Jim Sales, Ajax Fire Chief David Sheen, and Toronto Deputy Fire Chief Matt Pegg who shot a 59, good for a one stroke victory. Congratulations Gentlemen!
Over the next 3-4 weeks, we will be doing the final tally to determine the proceeds of the tournament that will be donated to the CFFF.
Once again, thank you to everyone for making the 2015 CFFF Charity Classic an amazing success!
