Fire Services Credit Union Announces New Online Banking System
TORONTO, ON, 12 July 2011 — Fire Services Credit Union is pleased to announce a migration from its existing online banking system to Member Direct® Online Banking. Member Direct® is the gold standard online banking system used by most Credit Unions in Canada.
In conjunction with this change, FSCU members will also be able to elect to move to e-Statements (electronic statements in lieu of paper statements), which will assist FSCU to lower its carbon footprint while providing an excellent new convenience for FSCU members.
With Member Direct® Online Access, FSCU members will be able to:
- Transfer funds (future-dated, immediate and recurring).
- View and print statement information with e-Statements.
- Immediately set up and pay bills (current or post-dated).
- Apply for a loan.
- Search for specific account information.
- Access their Credit Union MasterCard or Member Card account information.
- Look up current U.S. and British exchange rates.
- Transfer funds from one member number to another within the credit union.
- Send INTERAC® e-Transfers
- Set up a “hyperWallet™”
account, allowing them to:
- E-mail cash to friends and family anywhere in North America who have an email address
- Receive payments from other hyperWALLET™ users and participating organizations
- Move funds between bank accounts at different financial institutions
- Pay for online auctions, and receive payment too
- Shop online privately at participating merchants
FSCU's conversion to Member Direct® is scheduled for September 6th, 2011. Further details will be forthcoming, including a special incentive for Members to elect e-Statements during the first 3 months after they are made available once the conversion is complete.
