FSCU Supports the Send Firefighters Campaign

Recently, the OPFFA began their Send Firefighters Campaign to inform the public and decision-makers across Ontario about the benefits of dispatching professional firefighters to all serious medical emergencies.
Dispatching firefighters to medical emergencies carries no additional cost to taxpayers, and dramatically raises the likelihood that patients will survive. Firefighters are already positioned to arrive on the scene of a medical emergency quickly, and are often the first to arrive.
We at Fire Services Credit Union support this initiative, and encourage our members to spread the word by telling friends and family about www.SendFirefighters.ca.
This site includes great resources, such as a fact sheet, sample letter to send to your local city council, and the ability to sign up for e-mail updates. It's a great way to educate your community on an important issue and help them take action.
