Our New Telephone System

On November 24th, 2011, FSCU went live with a new phone system that will allow us to improve our service, particularly for calls to our East York Branch.

When you call either the East York or Avenue Road numbers (including our 800 number), you will now be greeted by an automated attendant who will ask you to select either the Avenue Road or East York Branch. Once you do, you will be connected with the Branch you are calling. You can also access our company directory or enter an extension to be put directly through to whomever you are calling.

Previously, if a member called East York and Trevor Clarkson was away from his desk or on the phone, the call would be routed immediately to voicemail. With the new system, the call will now be forwarded to Avenue Road where it can be handled in most cases live by one of our Member Service Representatives there. If the call is specifically for Trevor, we can then put the member through to his voicemail. If the call involves a transaction or question that another staff member can handle, then we are able to deal with the member's issue without delay.

This will be particularly helpful for East York members on Wednesdays when our East York branch is closed. East York members can also now reach our East York Branch on our 800 number, which they could not do previously.

For Avenue Road Members, the only inconvenience will be the one prompt you will have to now press to reach our terrific Member Service team, or whomever you need to speak with at the Branch.

We appreciate your support as we continue to enhance our service to our overall Membership.
